Types of FSSAI Registration:
- FSSAI Registration (Basic Registration):
- Who needs it: Small food businesses, such as petty retailers, hawkers, and small-scale food manufacturers.
- Eligibility: Annual turnover of less than ₹12 lakhs.
- Proof of business (e.g., Aadhaar card, address proof).
- A declaration from the food business operator (FBO).
- Passport-sized photographs of the applicant.
- FSSAI State License:
- Who needs it: Medium-sized food businesses.
- Eligibility: Annual turnover between ₹12 lakh to ₹20 crore. Documents Required:
- Business address proof.
- Food safety management system plan.
- List of food products
- Address proof and ID proof of the applicant.
- A copy of the food safety and hygiene training certificate.
- FSSAI Central License:
- Who needs it: Large-scale food businesses (e.g., major manufacturers, exporters, etc.).
- Eligibility: Annual turnover of more than ₹20 crore.
- Copy of the constitution of the business (e.g., registration certificate).
- Details of the food business (e.g., product category, address, etc.).
- NOC from the health department (if required).
